Binding is dark green leatherette [faux not full leather, distinguished by lack of silk page marker and silk moire endpapers] with three (3) raised bands to spine, bright gilt title, etc., to spine, gilt border and designs to front and rear covers about gilt silhouette of Sherlock Holmes with pipe. Corners are square and sharp. Light wear to edges. The book was issued without a dust jacket or bookmark. 483 pages plus eleven (11) pages of A Sherlock Holmes Atlas, with maps drawn by Dr. Julian Wolff. 6" x 9 1/4".
