One scalloped silver gelatin stereoview photograph sized 6 x 3.25 in. mounted on gray printed studio board sized 7 x 3.5 in., w/ printed caption below, quote on verso, company imprint at fore-edges (bowed as usual, slight edgewear), still VG. First edition of this striking image of a climber holding his climbing stick contemplating the summit of Mt. Hood from Elliot Glacier. Singley (1864-1938) was a stereographic photographer and salesman for the Underwood & Underwood Co., and in 1892 founded the Keystone View Company for distributing his stereographic and other photographer's images in Meadville, PA.
