Written by James Sibree, an English missionary in Madagascar with an interest in the natural history and cultural history of the island. During his time in Madagascar, Sibree was assigned by the London Missionary Society to oversee the architecture of four large stone churches. In the original full cloth binding. Externally, smart with light rubbing to the extremities and fading to the spines. The odd small mark to the cloth. Front hinge starting but firm to volume one. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright with minor age toning to the extremities. Very Good. None (illustrator). book.
