Hardcovers with dark blue boards and gilt lettered spines, no dust jackets, in very good condition for their age. Volume I: Boards are slightly scuffed. Corner and spine ends are bumped and rubbed. Spine is cocked. Page block is rough cut and tanned. Endpapers are lightly foxed. Binding is sound and pages are clear. Volume II: Ex-library, Oriel College, Oxford. Boards are slightly scuffed, spine is sunned with a label remnant on the lower spine. Corners and spine ends are bumped and rubbed. Spine is cocked and page block is rough cut and tanned. Within, stamps and reference numbers evident. Endpapers and page edges are tanned. Hinge and gutter breaks noted, however binding is sound, and pages are otherwise clear. LW. Used.
