Privately published scientific report of a student expedition to the Elburz Mountains of Northern Iran prepared by a group of English botanists, geologists and a surveyor from Imperial College London in the summer of 1960. Virtually unexplored botanically, the Elburz Mountains appeared a suitable destination for students to carry out essential collecting and descriptive work. The present account comprises a botanical report mentioning samples of Cocksfoot grass, flowering plants, and lichen brought back to England for further study, a comparison of Dactylis Glomerata L. from three habitats in the Elburz mountains, a geological report on encountered rock types, fossil remains, and glacial history, next to observations on the vehicle used, road conditions, tentage, food and medical supplies. - Covers slightly sunned.
