Original Cloth. Condition: Good. Dust Jacket Condition: Good. 1st Edition. Ex-library copy. The boards have a one inch patch of fading to the spine where there is a hole in the jacket but are otherwise unmarked. Page edges are browned with a little spotting. There are wide bands of residue from some paper which has been stuck to the front and rear pastedown at some time. The front free endpaper has been removed and there is a name to the front pastedown and browning to the half-title page. The pages have a musty smell but they are otherwise unmarked. Jacket has a one inch hole on the spine which also has chipping at the top and bottom. The front panel has a one inch closed tear to the top edge and a half-inch closed tear to the bottom edge both with some associated creasing. The rear panel has a half-inch closed tear to the top edge and some surface discolouration. There is a number stamped at the top of the front flap and also some chipping to the corners. First printing.

Ex lending library with usual markings, front free endpaper and title page absent. Marks all over endpapers and a little tanning in margins. Dust jacket worn and torn, soiled heavily rubbed at edges, and adhered with old, discoloured tape, to endpapers. We would not usually offer a book in this, only poor, condition but it is a very hard to find title and this volume may serve for re-reading or to fill a gap in a collection until and better copy can be sourced.
