Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. Walt Disney Studio (illustrator). Reprint. This picture book (Golden Book #10450) is, of course, based on the 1942 Walt Disney film, which was based on the 1928 English translation (by Whittaker Chambers) of the 1923 Austrian novel, "Bambi, A Life in the Woods" by Felix Salten. First published in 1949, this is a twenty-fifth printing. Apart from a light inscription on top of the front pastedown, this copy is pretty good internally. There are half a dozen pages with well repaired tears to the bottom edges, but clean and tight otherwise. The boards are rubbed and worn at corners and spine ends, and - for some unknown reason - there are bits of clear tape stuck to the top edge of the front cover.
