First Draft script for the 1958 film with single "?" notation in manuscript pencil. Good-guy Max (Tom Ewell) and mooch Gus (Mickey Rooney) are horse-race loving pals whose lives are going nowhere. Desperate, they turn to bank robbery and actually pull it off. Using the money to buy a race horse, their bookie pal Rocky (Mickey Shaughnessy) wants in. When they loose their bank roll after their horse is disqualified, they figured they'd rob a bank again. Blue titled wrappers, noted as First Draft on the front wrapper, and production No. 767, dated October 9, 1957. Distribution page present, with receipt removed.
