One of the ads lists another music book that was published in 1934, so I am presuming that this come from round that time. It is not a 1950's or 60's reprint. Sharp was a famous English musicologist who worked with Olive Dame Campbell in collecting English folk songs in the Southern Appalachian Mountains. The movie Songcatcher was loosely based on Campbell and Sharp.
