Wendell Berry (b. 1934) is a distinguished American writer, farmer, and environmental activist known for his influential essays, novels, and poetry that advocate for sustainable agriculture and rural life. His works, including The Unsettling of America and Jayber Crow, emphasize the importance of ecological stewardship and community resilience.
