Glassine cover. 38 pp. text followed by 192 bw photographic plates. In grey, archival box. Text in French. B/W photos of exquisite works of decorative arts from all over Russia and in all genres - sculptures, doors, vessels, candelabras, embroideries, laces, icons, and much more in metals, stone, wood, fabric, etc. With an introductory essay and each item listed/named/and with its location (at the time). Beautiful color cover by Chekhonin. VG- (Museum ex-lib. with book plates - donor and museum - and small sticker on glassine at spine. Clean, unmarked text and plates with no sunning. Paper spine appears to be split lengthwise, but it must have been repaired, because it is totally solid and unmoving.
