First English edition, first impression. Publisher's original black cloth with illustrations in grey, red and white to the upper board and with titles in red to the spine. A better than very good copy, the binding square and firm with some softening to the spine tips. The contents, with some foxing to the prelims and text block edges, are otherwise clean throughout and without previous owner's inscriptions or stamps. The original title being "Der Zusamennbruch der Alten Welt" and is an account of an imaginary world war set in the near future. (Bleiler). From the library of Martin Stone.
