Taschenbuch. Condition: Neu. Neuware -Das von mir in englischer Sprache geschriebene und vom Springer-Verlag in 5. Auflage 1991 herausgebrachte Lehrbuch 'Semiconductor Physics' (Band 40 der Solid State Science-Serie) liegt hiermit auch in deutscher Sprache vor. Die Ubersetzung habe ich selbst besorgt. AniaB dazu war die Herausgabe einer japanischen Ubersetzung der 4. Auflage durch Yoshioka Shoten in Kyoto/Japan, wobei das Buch auf zwei Bande aufgeteilt wurde. Obrigens sind auch russische und chinesische Ubersetzungen der 1. Auflage erschienen, was den internationa len Erfolg des Textes weiter unterstreicht. Nach dem Vorbild der japanischen Ausgabe ist auch die vorliegende deutsche Version auf zwei Bande aufgeteilt worden. Ebenso wie dort schlieBen die Seiten-und die Kapitel-Numerierung von Band II an diejenigen von Band I fortlaufend an. Die groBere Seitenzahl gegenUber der englischen Version ist bedingt durch einen groBeren Zeilenab stand, der die Lesbarkeit des Textes und das EinfUgen von Formeln in den Text wesentlich verbessert. Bei der EinfUhrung eines neuen Fachausdrucks wurde in der Regel der englische Ausdruck hinter dem deutschen in Klammern gesetzt. Die Transistor-Begriffe source, drain und gate bleiben unUbersetzt, da dies in der deutschen Fachliteratur heute so Ublich ist. Der Band I mit den Kapiteln 1 bis 10 enthalt die elektronischen Eigenschaften des Halbleiters wie Bandstruktur und Statistik der Ladungstrager sowie Ladungs- und Energie-Transport.
