Amongst the papers and discussions presented to the members and guests during the celebrations were: 'Recent Tendencies in Statistics' by Dr. R. C. Geary, President of the Society; 'Some Aspects of Cheap Money' by Dr. Joseph Brennan, Governor, Central Bank of Ireland; 'Unexpected Events in Population Movement' by Professor Corrado Gini, renowned statistician and eugenicist; Closing speech of Mr. Seán T. Lemass, Táiniste and Minister for Industry and Commerce. Apart from Corrado Gini, other international guests included; Dr. Dezso Elekes, Dr. Lajos Bene, Don Antonio Martin de Miguel, Don Jose Jimino Ros, Dr. C. Oswald George, Professor Findlay Shirras.
