There is a name stamped on the inside of the front and back covers. There is a signature on the title page, which matches the name of the author (see pictures -- do not know the history of the signature). Otherwise, there is no writing or highlighting on the pages, with the exception of the library markings. First Edition, as stated on the copyright page (see pictures). Coloured endpapers. A little light spotting on first and last few leaves. Small mark on rear endpapers. Just about very good condition. In its original dust jacket (rubbed and chipped at edges, heavily chipped with minor loss around upper leading corner and rear spine fold, sunned spine). Dust jacket now protected in an archival quality Mylar wrapper, fitted without the use of tape or adhesives. Sally Watson's first novel, and the first in her English Family Tree series, scarce. 8vo.
