Dual-language [Italian / English]. The FAI is Italy's version of the National Trust, which restores significant buildings for public heritage display. As a fundraiser for the restoration of one such building ["Villa Necchi Campiglio", designed by Milanese architect Piero Portaluppi in 1932], architects across Italy & the world were approached to submit drawings for an exhibition. The response was extraordinary, with almost 400 submissions by over 100 architecture firms. With cooperation from Moleskine, that brand's famed notebook design was used in a large A4-size format to display these drawings in book form. *This pocket, we believe, originally contained a blank 120-page drawing book, not present with this copy.
