In seiner mehrjährigen Forschungs- und Entwicklungstätigkeit in der See- und Binnenschiffahrt sowie seiner wissenschaftlichen Arbeit an der Verkehrshochschule und der Wilhelm-Pieck-Universität hat Prof. Schönknecht an verschiedenen Aufgaben zur technischen, technologischen und ökonomischen Schiff ahrtsentwicklung mitgewirkt. Besonders engagiert war er Anfang der sechziger Jahre bei der Einführung der Schubschiffahrt auf den Binnenwasserstraßen der DDR. Als Autor und Mitautor veröffentlichte er bereits mehrere Bücher und zahlreiche Artikel zur populär-und fachwissenschaftlichen Schiffahrtsliteratur. Dr. sc. oec. Uwe Laue ist Hochschuldozent an der WilhelmPieck-Universität Rostock. 1941 in Weimar geboren, hat er fast zwei Jahrzehnte als Seemann und Erster Nautischer Offizier auf verschiedenen Handelsschiffen gepflegtes Exemplar, nur kleine Lesespuren * Verlag: Moers : Steiger.
