Announcements and reviews of printed books published 1772 in Germany and elsewheres in Europe, that appeared in Frankfurt journals and newspapers of the time. ppCXXIX(1)700 with preliminary note by series editor Seuffert, lengthy introduction by Scherer, and indexes. Faintly marbled edge…s. Contemporary quarter black leather with paper-covered boards. Missing most of spine, only sections at head and foot remaining. Boards moderately rubbed. No dust jacket. Owner's name on front flyleaf, together with small stamp of later owner. Contents faintly toned throughout / endpapers, title-page and final page spotted, occasional light & sparse spotting elsewheres / verso of front flyleaf with four lines of pencilled notes, and here & there short pencilled notes in text margins, all in German. Top edge of text-block dust-soiled, over which a scattering of a few white specks; fore-edge toned, lower edge lightly so. Binding still holding firmly, contents generally clean and tight. Fairly GOOD copy / akzeptabler bis guter Zustand.
