During a two week visit to the Faroe Islands, Kirkeby divided his time between half and whole days in the mountains, where observations were recorded on the sketchpad or were inscribed directly onto copper plates, and at The Graphic Workshop where the impressions were utilized in entire series of graphic sheets.
