Minor wear to extremities, but otherwise a very good copy. 1957 presentation inscription signed by author at head of title. Illustrated by 92 black and white photographic pages of plates and plans, by folding plan at end and by text figure. For several decades this title was a standard guidebook to the ruins of Persepolis from its first edition in 1954.
