Most of the wells drilled in this regio…n have very low flow rates (1 to 2 m3/h). This region is therefore supplied by surface water. These surface waters are often polluted by human activities and undergo eutrophication during the dry season. It is therefore important to turn to groundwater that is protected from seasonal fluctuations and pollution. The objective of this study is to identify the areas that are favorable for the implementation of large flow boreholes for the supply of drinking water. The exploitation of these groundwater requires the application of a series of indirect techniques including remote sensing, leading to an assessment of the groundwater potential of the Daloa region.

Las fuentes de carne convencionales conocidas en estas zonas son el…ganado vacuno, caprino y ovino. El camello se ha mantenido para la sequía, el transporte y otros fines. El camello es un animal especial que ha demostrado adaptarse bien a un entorno tan duro y puede sobrevivir bien en terrenos arenosos con escasa vegetación y puede consumir principalmente piensos no utilizados por otras especies domésticas para producir proteínas a un coste comparativamente bajo en las zonas áridas. La comparación del camello con las fuentes convencionales de carne proporcionadas demostró que el camello es una buena fuente de suministro de carne en el medio árido; el camello y el ganado vacuno constituyen una fuente de suministro de carne más nutritiva que la cabra y la oveja. Esta información podría servir de guía a investigadores, ganaderos, organismos gubernamentales y comercializadores a la hora de desarrollar políticas de cría en entornos sahelianos, con el fin de maximizar el potencial del camello como buena fuente de carne nutritiva para la población en constante crecimiento de los entornos sahelianos.
