A field experiment was conducted at Department of Botany, Jinnah University For Women, Karachi, Pakistan, to study the effect of different agro-waste residual based biofertilizer on growth and physiological functioning of mung bean (vigna radiata L.) plant. All residues were composted with Aspergillus niger to form biodegradable bio fertilizer. This procedure increased the nutrient contents in composted material as compare to un-composted organic food waste. The experiment was basically performed to investigate the potentiality of Phosphate solubilizing fungi (PSF) composted biofertilizer to solubilized available Phosphorus, applied in the form of NPK with reference to the growth & nutritional status of green gram. The results of this study suggest that foliar spray with micronutrient may have a potential role for increasing plant tolerance to salinity and allelopathy stress.
