Leicht berieben, ansonsten tadelloser Zustand / Slightly rubbed, otherwise perfect condition - Orthodox Involvement in the World Council of Churches was the theme of a WCC consultation with representatives of Eastern Orthodox Churches. The consultation, organized by the WCC General Secretariat and hosted by the Bulgarian Orthodox Church, was held in Sofia in May 1981. It was an important meeting, and it focused on the Orthodox understanding of ecumenism and the Orthodox experience within the WCC fellowship. Its concern was to explore how the Orthodox commitment to ecumenism may find a more effective expression within the reality of that fellowship.
