Dauer), 1920 - 2013, Rose Kuhnlein, deren Eltern aus Steinwiesen stammten, wuchs nahe Weimar auf und studierte an den Kunstakademien Weimar und Nürnberg Malerei und Werbegrafik. Der zweite Weltkrieg verhinderte den weiteren akademischen Werdegang. Nach dem Krieg arbeitete sie als freie Illustratorin für Kinderbücher und als Porzellanmalerin. "Es war ihr persönlich wichtig, den kriegsgeschundenen Kindern etwas Schönes in die Hand zu geben, sie brauchten ja Trost in der schweren Zeit und hatten nichts". Sie heiratete 1954 und zog zu ihrem Mann auf seinen Hof bei Nordhalben. Buch.
