Letter press edition. 20 poems by former Utah poet laureate, Ken Brewer, who died in the spring of 2006 after a lengthy battle with cancer in his Cache Valley home. With 20 woodcut prints by noted Utah artist Royden Card. Another beautiful volume of poetry from this acclaimed publisher. Limberlost press is a fine press and bindery in Boise, Idaho. Since 1986 they have issued forty-five completely handmade letterpress editions.

This volume is one of only 50 copies that have been specially bound by hand into cloth and boards, numbered and signed by both the poet and the artist in black pen on the colophon page. This book is 31/50. The late Utah poet laureate has written 20 short original poems designed to specifically accompany the lovely Utah landscape woodblock prints that the artist Royden Card has created.

Text and blocks were printed on an 1846 Columbian Press at the University of Utah Marriott Library. Designed, handset and printed by Day Christensen. Woodcuts designed and printed by Royden Card. The case paper, containing Utah sagebrush was produced by Twinrocker and the book was bound by Jean Tarascio. Excerpts for this book were taken from Dale Morgan's "Utah: A Guide to the State" published in 1941 by the Federal Writers Project.
