Original clear plastic/acetate dust jacket trimmed shorter than boards; large loss across bottom of front panel and front flap with slight loss overlapping into spine heel; shallow chipping and tears at dj's spine head. Quarter-bound green cloth spine which is soiled and strongly color faded to a grayish brown, spine's lettering still legible, original green color evident along joints; rubbed gold paper boards with color faded green cloth corners. Muted green top edge; strong toning to fore-edge and bottom edge. Cream colored endpapers illustrated with repeated pattern of horses pulling haywagons all in brown; past owner's ink signature and date (Christmas 1941) at top of front free endpaper.
