Publisher's original red cloth with gilt lettering to the front board and spine. viii, 580pp. This copy has been peen professionally re-backed - by a skilled book binder - to the spine. Page edges browned (due to the age of the paper) but contents bright and clean otherwise. VG. A very nice copy indeed with impeccable provenance. A classic and influential cookbook known for its comprehensive coverage of Victorian-era cooking techniques and recipes that is still highly regarded for its practical and accessible approach to food preparation.
