    A. R. Whitear (illustrator). First American edition after the First Edition published by William Heinemann Ltd. in 1964, in very good plus condition. The book is bound in blue linen with title stamped in black on the front cover. Spine caps are softened and sun-toned. There is a tiny chip of paper missing from the bottom edge of p.19. Otherwise , pages are clean, bright, smooth and unmarked. The binding is firm. . Includes 6 illustrations in black and white by British illustrator. A. R. Whitear. The price-clipped dust jacket is in very good condition with a 1.5" closed tear on the bottom edge front panel, 25" closed tear on the top edge front panel, chipping on the top of spine panel and chipping on bottom corner of the front panel. McGraw Him library edition, with no library markings.
