They were first issued in the "Navy & Army Illustrated" in 1895. Each Issue contains a page of Biographical Detail and a Full-Page Fine Colour Portrait of an outstanding Commander. Includes Sir Redvers Buller, S. S. Baden-Powell, Viscount Wolseley, Lord Kitchener of Khartoum & Lord Roberts. In Red or Light Green thin card Wraps with Black Type and Central Sword Design to fronts. Adverts for Fry's Cocoa etc on the backs. 14 3/4" Tall. Slight wear to covers. Staples rusted.
