Born Stephen Tashjian, he re-named himself, singularly, as "Tabboo!" - with the double letter B (to go with the double letter O) and the exuberant exclamation point. His "Go Figure" , transgressive art consists of paintings that brilliantly mimic the classic High Expressionist style - without the anguish, but instead with a joyful, playful, and appealing sexiness. "The book displays historical ephemera, including homemade flyers for performances at iconic clubs along with the artist's paintings. Additionally, an Essay on the 'Glamorous Life' by Jarrett Earnest explicates the thematic concerns of the Catalog. Underscores the joy of creating and living exuberantly.
