(Note: I find it odd that the majority of modern golfers do not realize how far an old balata covered ball with rubber core and rubber strands wound as tight as the manufacturer or player wanted them (unregulated at the time), could be struck. 300-yards was no problem for the long hitters. Bernard Darwin wrote about the growing problem of too-short courses in 1913!) In original gray-green cloth with green lettering on cover and spine. Spine not faded, lettering complete. First edition, 8vo., pp.(vii),132, green cloth lettered in black, 29 monochrome illustrations, plus pictorial adverts; light foxing to edges and endpapers, lower corners of front board just lightly bruised, a very good copy, in unclipped pictorial dust-jacket, which is worn to extremities, with creasing and small areas of loss, and has 4.5cm closed tear to foot of front flap-fold, and 1cm closed tear to head of rear flap-fold, good+ and now in a protective cover.
