Soft cover. Condition: Good. Some foxing (tan spotting) to the first page, last page and outer page edges. The rest of the pages are spotless and undamaged. Covers show very light soiling, some foxing, very slight insect damage to the back cover only. Upper left corner of the back cover is lightly creased. Slight wear to edges of covers and spine. It will be backed with cardboard and carefully packed in a sturdy, flat box to ensure safe transit.

Soft cover. Condition: Fair. Stated First Edition. "A narrative giving briefly the history of Crawford Notch and The Willey Slide, also the Soltaire legend and the Nancy romance." The 42 page, illustrated text is in very good condition, measures 6" x 3". However, the covers are very soiled, a bit worn on the edges, and the front illustration has been cut out. Book.

Second edition (published a few months after the original first); 6 1/4 x 3 1/4; pp. 2-27; green wraps printed in black, with a die-cut window, through which an image on the title page peeks; illustrated with monochrome photographs; a tiny nick to fore-edge of front wrap, else minor wear to corners and tips of spine; a few faint spots of foxing to first and last pages only; in very good condition.An interesting booklet, in which the author walks the reader through the Lost River Gorge in New Hampshire's Kinsman Notch, describing each step of the journey.

NOTE: 'The Profile' was the first one for this set that Guy R. published and is quite uncommon being printed in 1917, 6 years prior to his having the first 4 offered in a Boxed Set as here, and is the only one with a string-tied binding. Likely only reprints (4th, 1922,) of 'The Profile' were included in those first sets as they were published 6 years later. I will include an example of the 4th edition 'Profile' for posterity.
