Front free endpaper with some marks and a previous owner's name in ink and annotations in pencil. Rear free endpaper creased and annotated in pencil. Some marks on pastedowns. Odd tear and poorly cut page. Binding reasonably firm. Gilt textblock edges dulled. Boards show heavy rubbing and corner and edge wear. Spine heavily crushed and worn.

Text is in Welsh. Leather-bound spines and leading corners. Several surface marks on boards. Spines and leading corners are quite worn and rubbed. One or two small nicks on spine feet. Small amount of fabric loss on lower front leading corner of Vol. 1. Leading corners of Vol. 2 are quite bumped. Name and location, probably of former owner, are penned in copperplate script on endpapers. Place stamps on front pastedown and title page of Vol. 1. Vol. 2 has marbled pastedowns and endpapers with some patchy paper loss. Front hinge of Vol. 1 and both hinges of Vol. 2 are cracked. Pages and page block are a little tanned. Binding is very loose at the beginning of Vol. 2. Pen mark on page 177 of volume one. Contents remain clear. AF. Used.

Brown presumably dark brown leather binding with cross-banded spine and rubs to boards' corners and spine-ends. A 1 3/4 inch tall by 1 inch wide area abrasion of top surface of leather to back board so now much lighter colour, another small abrasion. Treble ad bass staves and words to some pieces. Some sections of pages are browner than others and there is browning to page-edges and lighter browning to page-margins.
