Illustrated Wraps. Condition: Very Good. Cover Art by Robert Murray. (illustrator). Signed by Author Joe Haldeman, on the Story Title Page for Passages Carefully handled, Text clean, Bindings firm. The magazine is from the estate of Jeri Kandel of Sarasota, Florida. Jeri an aspiring Sci Fi/Horror author was active in the Florida West Coast Sci Fi Fantasy community. She was a "volunteer" for DragonCon in Atlanta and other Florida West Coast and Orlando events as an active member of ASFA where she acquired amazing autographs. Passages is a good, Hugo-nominated short story [1983] by Haldeman, solidly written and well received, but not a cornerstone of his career. It's worth noting for fans and collectors of his work, and it helps fill in the story of his development as a writer of short fiction. HALDEMAN, Joe (b. 1943). American science fiction author, best known for The Forever War (Hugo and Nebula Awards). A Vietnam veteran, his works explore war, technology, and human experience; essential figure in late 20th-century speculative fiction. Ref: isfdb.

Analog Science Fiction and Fact, July, 1996. New York: Davis Publications, 1996. 12mo, illustrated perfect-bound wraps, 288 pp.- nearly 100 pp more than earlier 80s and 90's issues, with more illustrations as well. Cover by Jim Burns. Very Good; modest signs of cover handling, touch wear points around binding, and of course the inevitable age-toning of the paper used in all pulp fiction productions, unique to the inexpensive types of paper used for that classic American form, moderate and inoffensive. Delaney); Sam Boone's Appeal to Common Scents (Bud Sparhawk); The Alicia Revolution (Doug Larsen), and more. Art by Jim Burns; Vincent Di Fate; Dell Harris; Kelly Freas; Bob Eggleton. Also, science fact, as always. See scan of contents page. A collectible example of this issue of the the 1990 format of a very long-lived series of American science fiction publications - but you know about that. Condition is probably as solid as any you'll be likely to find. Ships in stout protection, of course. L103.

paperback. Condition: Very Good. Most of our very good books have only minor imperfections such as shelf wear consistent with a new book that's sat on a bookshop shelf for a year or two. Occasionally we may miss other minor imperfections as we have to grade books at speed. Our books are dispatched from a Yorkshire former cotton mill. We list via barcode/ISBN so please note that the images are stock images and may not be the exact copy you receive, furthermore the details about edition and year might not be accurate as many publishers reuse the same ISBN for multiple editions and as we simply scan a barcode or enter an ISBN we do not check the validity of the edition data when listing. If you're looking for an exact edition please don't order (at least not without checking with us first, although we don't always have time to check). We aim to dispatch prompty, the service used will depend on order value and book size. We can ship to most countries, see our shipping policies. Payment is via Abe only.
