In style and stanza, Frere's "Specimen" was imitated in Byron's Beppo, and is thus regarded as a seminal influence on Byron's Don Juan. Leather rubbed to extremities, bds scuffed, some small chips but mostly nice, name inside front, copy is mostly bright and very crisp with atmospheric spotting at ends and odd mark internally.
