Inscription in blue ballpoint o…n half-title page "In Loving Memory / 'Your Marine Buddy' / Bob / 'Semper Fidelis'" conceivably by Aurthur or Vance, and Vance's facsimile signature on his foreword suggests a likelihood, but without additional exemplars to determine conclusively this remains unknown -- we point this out as a possibility, not a certainty.
