This is first edition and printing of 'Studying Insects - A Practical Guide'. In near fine smart mid blue cloth boards, gilt titles to spine. The boards are very flat, firm and clan and with very sound spine ends. The white end papers are unmarked. The text block has "47 line drawings and 16 pages of plates in colour and black and white". The pages are tightly bound and even; the top cut edge is grubby and the fore edge is lightly tanned and the internal pages are unmarked. Near fine minus condition. No dedications etc. With very good pictorial dust jacket with colour image of hands of a man with tweezers and butterflies to front with black titles. The jacket is well-fitting and with slightly tanned spine and front top edge. Not price clipped.
