Sheet music, 5 pp.; 31 cm; plate 1294-4; pictorial cover in yellow, black and white with photographic portraits of the seven stars above an illustration of the car. In Good condition. Covers show a few nicks and light creasing to edges, mild shelf wear, light toning and soiling. Interior lightly toned. Otherwise unmarked. From the MGM film The Yellow Rolls-Royce (1964), an Anatole de Grunwald production written by Terence Rattigan and directed by Anthony Asquith, starring Ingrid Bergman, Rex Harrison, Alain Delon, George C. Scott, Jeanne Moreau, Omar Sharif and Shirley MacLaine, with Art Carney, Wally Cox, Joyce Grenfell, Moira Lister and Edmund Purdom. The song belongs to the film's middle episode, set in Italy around 1940, where an American gangster's companion (MacLaine) takes up with a local photographer (Delon); the vocal is performed on screen by Katyna Ranieri, the composer's wife. Forget Domani won the Golden Globe for Best Original Song, though it drew no corresponding Academy Award nomination. In the summer of 1965 rival singles by Connie Francis and Frank Sinatra entered the Billboard Hot 100 in the same week and peaked in the same week, at 79 and 78 respectively, reaching 16 and 13 on the Easy Listening chart. Francis carried the song to number one in South Africa, and Sinatra's Italian-language version was promoted as his first recording in that language. Back cover carries a Song Folios of the Stars advertisement with full contents for collections by Pat Boone, Jimmy Dean, Robert Goulet, Judy Garland and Andy Williams.…
