Handy, My Life, a poem by Mary Ritter, and much more. Many engraved illustrations. Black letter spine and corners over marbled boards. Leather is cracked along one gutter and there is some edgewear to boards. Signed in pencil by former owner, Mary E. Bayley. Very good. No dust jacket as issued.

Condition: Good. INSCRIBED AND SIGNED BY JOHN THORN - Quarto [approximately 11 inches high by 8-1/2 inches wide], softcover bound in pictorial white wrappers. The binding is foxed & very lightly bumped with a stain to the front wrap & a chip to the tail of the spine. 87 & [1] pages. Illustrated in black & white. The contents are very good. Inscribed on the first page by the editor John Thorn: "For [----] / On behalf of my contributors / Best / John".John Thorn [b. 1947] is a sports historian, author, publisher and cultural commentator. Since March 2011 he has been the Official Baseball Historian for Major League Baseball.
