Very good, with very thin cracks to the inner hinges, but a sound, clean example, with just a few stray pencil markings. A curious text, whose main contents consist of various recent census data for towns of over 500 inhabitants, along with charts and graphs for various population or other statistics, including interest rates, and the like. There are also lists of notable businesses in many small towns all over the eastern Midwest (Indiana, Ohio, Kentucky), alongside examples of business forms and descriptions of various industrial sectors. On almost every page are multiple advertisements for businesses of all kinds, many of which include engraved illustrations. The businesses are geographically concentrated in the Cleveland area, though there are plenty for other cities and towns in Ohio, Indiana, Kentucky, and elsewhere. OCLC records at least a dozen physical holdings, but we found none in commerce as of this listing, and none in auction records. A scarce and very interesting volume of midwest Americana. This Cincinnati imprint curiously not referenced in Sutton.…
