The exhibit was the first major presentation of French?s sculptures. Daniel Chester French [1850?1931], one of the most prolific and acclaimed American sculptors of the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries, is best known for his design of the monumental statue of Abraham Lincoln (1920) in the Lincoln Memorial, Washington, DC. A nice association copy! Signed copies of this title are uncommon, much less with great associations. Postscript by Paul W. Ivory. Profusely Illustrated. (illustrator). Signed.
