Spine, worn, gilt title and tooling, bumped and worn at edges. Internally, frontis, [3], (iv-xxxv), [1], [1], 2-504 pp, 1 pl, 1 vignette, text block edges speckled red, bookplate, ink numbers, and bookseller label to fpd, numbers again to fep, printed by George Smallfield, Hackney, upper hinge weak. (172*104 mm). Richards, William, General Baptist minister and historian, who in 1803, married Emiah Owens. She strongly supported his literary enterprises, but died on 3 January 1805, aged twenty-nine. Profoundly distressed, Richards could not for several years go out into society. He must have received callers, however; and in these years he produced historical essays-collected in The Welsh Nonconformists' Memorial (1820) See ODNB for a full Bio.
