Spine, worn, gilt title and tooling, bumped and worn at edges. Internally, frontis, [3], (iv-xxxv), [1], [1], 2-504 pp, 1 pl, 1 vignette, text block edges speckled red, bookplate, ink numbers, and bookseller label to fpd, numbers again to fep, printed by George Smallfield, Hackney, upper hinge weak. (172*104 mm). Richards, William, General Baptist minister and historian, who in 1803, married Emiah Owens. She strongly supported his literary enterprises, but died on 3 January 1805, aged twenty-nine. Profoundly distressed, Richards could not for several years go out into society. He must have received callers, however; and in these years he produced historical essays-collected in The Welsh Nonconformists' Memorial (1820) See ODNB for a full Bio. To which are prefixed An Essay on Druidism and Introduction of the Gospel into Britain with an Appendix including the Authors minor pieces and his Last Views of the Christian Religion.
