Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. 2nd Edition. Second edition. Boards show some wear to edges; spine text still clear; binding tight; pages clean. Particularly notable for the 'great and important changes in the law of Husband and Wife' since the first edition was published in 1893. Married women could now vote and own property, 'The bar against marriage with a deceased wife's sister and with a deceased brother's widow has been removed,' etc. A third edition was published in 1951. An intriguing, uncommon work. 2.5 pounds. 434 pages.
