The book contains twenty (20) individual, coloured pop-up and movable dioramas that illustrate key scenes from religious instruction on the Holy Spirit, the rite of the Sacrament, and its importance in a Catholic's life. There are 17 volumes in this series, published between 1956 and 1964. Perhaps the only pop-up books known to bear a 'nihil obstat' and imprimatur (ecclesiastical declarations confirming doctrinal integrity). All in very good order. A couple of items on diorama no.3 would benefit from re-glueing.…

Includes 20 colorful pop-up scenes from the life of Jesus; final pop-up includes a clever 3-D monocle with red and blue lenses over a hologram of Pope Pius XII and Jesus Christ, presumably to merge them into one. Each pop-up includes a description of the scene in French. Tan cloth boards with gold stamping on the cover and spine, slightly rubbed; worn at the corners. Opalesque light-blue end papers. This particular variation not in OCLC; other editions, likely in a series of religious pop-up books, can be found. Very good; pop-up scenes near fine.…
