Hard Cover. Condition: Very Good. No Jacket. First Edition. Gilt titles on blue cloth boards which are clean and unmarked with just a touch of wear to spine head and tail and to corner tips. Internally there is age darkening to endpapers, light foxing to some early pages and closed edges, some small wear to the top of a few page…s, a closed tear to margin of one page and a small ink line to the margin of one page. These sermons were prompted by the failing of English parents to teach Christianity to their children, a view borne out by a public school master who noted that his boys knew little, and the sermons attempt to sugest some of the reasons for this. R3 Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
