[vii], 90pp., black and red frontispiece and three other full-page illustrations (two are bound in differently to the position given in the list of illustrations). This is the 30th volume in Blackie's 'The Kennett Library' series of books. The Kennett Library was a graded series of classics, retold for schools by John Kennett. This volume is a retelling of Jules Verne's famous novel, first published in French in 1864. The book is bound in the original paper covered boards with a colour illustration on the front board. The case of the book is in very good condition with some shelf wear and to the boards and fading to the spine. The top of the spine is lightly bumped. The contents are tight and clean with no inscription.
