Soft cover. Condition: Very Good. 1st Edition. Catalog accompanying Menashe Kadishman's Sacrifice of Isaac exhibition at the Jewish Museum, New York, March-June 1985, and his representation of Israel at the 18th São Paulo Biennale. 4to (8.75 × 9.25 inches), pictorial wrappers, illustrated in color and black-and-white. Texts in English by Pierre Restany, Natan Zach, and Edward Fry; edited by Amnon Barzel. Inscribed by Kadishman in blue ink, "with love," and signed in Hebrew, with an extensive original drawing of two confronting sheep extending across the inside front wrapper and facing page. Kadishman's boldly drawn pair of sheep meet nose-to-nose at the center of the opening, their bodies carried outward in long, economical lines across nearly the full double-page spread. More substantial than the small sheep sketches sometimes found in signed Kadishman publications, the drawing operates as a composition in its own right while relating directly to the central imagery of the catalog. Light bumping and rubbing to extremities. Inscribed by Illustrator(s).…
