I offer this book because it seems like an interesting read and is in near fine condition. Please find: The Springs of Virginia- Life, Love, and Death at the Waters 1775-1900 by Perceval Reniers. This largish hard cover book (6 ¼ x 9 ¼ x 1 ¾ inches, 301 pages) was published by the University of North Carolina Press dated 1941 and the First Edition with the same date on title and copyright pages. There are both black-and-white and color illustrations, an attractive color frontispiece and the endpapers are decorated with a Map of the Springs of Virginia and the Routes Leading Thereto . The book is bound in a warm red weave with a gilt title on the cover and black & gilt title panels on the spine; it is protected by a printed paper dust jacket. Condition: This book is in near fine condition. There is some very minor edge wear to the dust jacket with bumped corners and some darkening on the inside. The hardcovers are clean and bright and unbumped. Inside a former owner has left her name on the front endpaper but that is the only mark I found in the book. The interior pages are clean and bright throughout and without any toning or foxing. Both hinges are intact, and the binding is tight and sound. This book is not ex-library or a remainder. …
