34x23 cm. 2 volumes each containing six months issues of the last year of this publication which began in January, 1905. The pages are unbound, trimmed at the spine edge, and laid into contemporary buckram boards with leather spine labels. The paper used for this was extremely poor and has resulted in considerable chipping at the edges of leaves and several leaves torn. The paper is extremely fragile and brittle making further chipping and tears virtually unavoidable. 776; 768 pp. The first volume includes weekly issues of this publication from January to June, 1909. The second volume has the issues from July to December, 1909, with the December 25 issue being the last of this publication. Ex-NYPL, with scattered rubber stamps, and with a stamp on a cover indicating that it was microfilmed in 1990. This is a fascinating publication with comprehensive information on construction and real estate transactions, including court proceedings and liens, in Brooklyn, Queens and western Long Island in the early years of the incorporation of Greater New York. It covers not just new construction, but listings of extensions, window replacements, roof replacements, sewer line installations and many other updates or repairs to residential, commercial and industrial buildings. There is also text, some with illustrations and maps, discussing the state of the construction trades, new trends or developments, and techniques for some construction elements. OCLC 48582958 (1 loc., Columbia University), but clearly these volumes were microfilmed at the New York Public Library as well.
