Hardcover. Condition: Fine. Harold Piffard (illustrator). Bound in red cloth with blind borders and bright gilt titling and decoration to the spine. There are gilt top page edges. The book measures 4" wide by 6" tall. This copy is in fine condition, unmarked, bright, tight, white and square. There are burgundy endpapers. As with all Collins' Clear-Type editions this book is undated but it is believed that it was purchased sometime between 1910 and 1920. This copy came from a large collection, the property of a Lieutenant in the R.F.C. (later the R.A.F.) This is just one of this large collection of similar titles I am selling on this site. Griffith Gaunt, or Jealousy is an 1866 sensation novel by Charles Reade. A best-selling book in its day, it was thought by Reade to be his best novel. Ref A6 3.
